Stellar Wins 4 Gold Awards at Vitis Vinifera 2016

September was a busy month for Klaas Coetzee (Winemaker) and Leé Griffin (Brand & Marketing Director) as they headed off to the UK, Germany, Finland and Holland for a series of wine shows and customer visits.
Germany
First stop was Germany, where they spent time with Axel Fiedler, Oliver Koenig and Andreas Finkentey, who are all Sales Reps from Riegel Weinimport. They visited some interesting customers, hosted a wine tasting dinner and enjoyed a one-day WOSA wine show event in Frankfurt. “It was an interesting and worthwhile leg of our tour,” said Leé, “Our hearts were warmed by the hospitality we received and the love shown for our Sensory Collection wines!”
England
Then it was on to London for two events – the 3 Wine Men consumer tasting and another WOSA one-day trade fair. This time, the positive feedback and interest shown for the new 2016 Running Duck Rosé was very rewarding, especially because the winemaking team had done tons of research, and worked very hard to get it “just right”. Spending time with the Ehrmanns team, catching-up on the trends in the market, visiting different retailers and having a bonus day out in the countryside with Nick MacSwiney to call on some good customers like Whitebridge Wines again are all highlights of a truly worthwhile trip!
Finland
Klaas then headed over to Finland to attend our agent, Norex’s Horeca Tour and celebrate their 35th birthday.
Holland
Klaas then represented Stellar Winery in Holland at the ‘Wereldse Wijndagen’, held by our agent Coenecoop. The show was all about gastronomy, wine sales techniques, professional wine tastings, market information and new novations. Above all it was a unique opportunity for producers and Dutch wine professionals to meet and share their joint passion for wine.
